Barcelona played with fire, but managed to survive against Joventut Badalona by getting the close 79-77 win
The guests got a 39-31 lead at half time, but Barca bounced back and in the end with 5 seconds left on the clock Luka Boganovic made it a one point game (78-77) after two missed throws by Alberto Abalde. However, Joventut couldn’t do much after that, with Aleksandar Vezenkov being fould, making one of two free throws and then Ante Tomic getting the offensive rebound.
Vezenkov was the top scorer of the winners with 18 points and made big plays in crunch time, Tomic also had a great game with 15 points and 7 rebounds, while Tyrese Rice made crucial free throws in the final minutes and scored in total 13 points.
For the losing side Albert Sabat with 17 points was the top scorer, Bogdanovic had 15 and Abalde scored 10 points. Barca had now a 9-3 record, good enough for the second place in the standings, while Joventut remains at 3-10.
