Things got a little bit clearer at the highest places of the French Pro A League classification after the completion of Week 13 with one of top teams suffering quite the blowout defeat.
We are talking about Nanterre (9-4) that was completely obliterated by Paris Levallois (8-5) away from home, losing its status as second best team in the standings. This result created a tie at the third place between Nanterre and Pau Orthez (9-4) that defeated Dijon (4-9) without reaching any impressive performance standards.
In the meantime, Monaco (11-2) keeps on winning, this time making a victim out of last season’s finalists Strasbourg (7-6) thanks to a dominant 42 – 27 second half. Chalon/Saone (10-3) now stands alone at the second spot of the standings, after having its way vs Le Portel (5-8) on the road.
Defending champs Villeurbanne (7-6) beat Cholet (5-8) thanks to their solid defense while Limoges (6-7) passed victorious from Le Mans (7-6) with crucial helps by Klemen Prepelic and Giordan Watson down the stretch.
