Fantasy: A risk with Teodosic

By Dimitris Mitrantzas/ info@eurohoops.net

CSKA’s rotation in recent games has been rather unpredictable, but ahead of the derby against Fenerbahce, Milos Teodosic is expected to return to action and in a dynamic way too.

Milos Teodosic came back in the game against Barcelona and he was excellent, he was then absent again against Maccabi, and the big question mark has to do with his participation against Fenerbahce. Respectively, De Colo has not returned to action even though he’s now taking part in team practice. Managers had several losses in the last round with Keith Langford’s absence as well, which became known at the last minute.

Before we go ahead with the analysis of the latest round, it’s worth reminding you of Eurohoops’ fantasy tool, which makes it easier for you to choose which players will be leaving and those who will be joining your team.

Click here and see how it works.

Let’s take a look at the analysis of this round starting as we usually do with the players who are undervalued and can provide you with easy credits. As it seems, the list is getting shorter and shorter and now you have to examine whether it’s worth trusting a player who has made one good appearance.

Underpriced Price Average Score  Difference

LUZ, RAFA PG 7,4 2,1 -1,6 3,69
STAIGER, LUCCA SG/SF 12,0 4,9 -12,2 17,15
VORONOV, EVGENY SG/SF 7,5 2,8 -8,1 10,86
ANTONOV, SEMEN SG/SF 8,7 2,8 -5,3 8,04
PAPANIKOLAOU, KOSTAS SG/SF 30,9 7,8 6,8 1,04

ARAR, EGE PF/C 10,4 3,0 2,2 0,83

With the derby between CSKA and Fenerbahce, both teams have set their sights on this one and Milos Teodosic is expected to play because of how crucial the game is. Something similar might happen with Nando De Colo as well, but it’s better to take the risk only with the Serbian guard, who already has a place on our roster.

It’s better to let go of Keith Langford, who will be doubtful until the last minute due to an injury. Coming back from an injury, we’re not sure how ready he is.

Aside from Langford, Vesely and Pleiss also have to leave, since they seem like they’re off rhythm in recent games. The Czech big man has had only one really good game in the last five games and so it’s better to avoid him ahead of Moscow. Furthermore, Galatasaray’s German center is not undervalued anymore and his performance has declined.

With 188,4 credits available it’s better to trust Vesely’s teammate and the most reliable big man in the EuroLeague. Ekpe Udoh is consistent, he piles up points even if he doesn’t score a lot, and can make the difference over time.

The second big man who will be joining the team is Felipe Reyes, who is on the rise and who is once again consistently getting 15+ minutes of playing time and a good number of attempts. Real Madrid’s big man is going to have a relatively easy task against Crvena Zvezda’s big men and he can come up with a 15+ score. This is also the indicative prediction of the Eurohoops fantasy tool.

Finally, in the backcourt, it’s worth investing in the in-form Andrew Goudelock, who is going to be facing Darussafaka. Maccabi’s American guard has a consistently high productivity and if he has good accuracy levels he can really make the difference.

Enjoy fantasy!
