The goal foul of Bobby Dixon who send the game in Moscow to overtime was the key topic of discussion in the press conference.

“I am sure that Dimitris (Itoudis) had asked for a foul in order to avoid the tie, since he was leading by three, however the players are those who ultimately decide what happens”, said Fenerbahce‘s coach Zeljko Obradovic who praised his guard: “He made the right call and got the best of the situation, after reading it correctly”.

CSKA Moscow‘s coach Dimitris Itoudis – who was awarded with the Gomelsky trophy before the game for being the coach of the year last season – on the other hand confirmed that he asked for a foul in order to avoid a three-pointer or a three point play. On the other hand, however, he didn’t blame his center for the way things ended up: “I hate to talk about it, because it was a direct order. We usually foul even when we have a two-point lead. Augustin had the opportunity three times to foul, he couldn’t and Dixon made that shot.  What it’s not his fault, that was not the last play of the game… I hope we will be wiser after this game”. Here’s the rest of the quotes made after the game.
