Goran Dragic addressed the recent reports mentioning that he’d be willing to a possible trade out of the Miami Heat, stating that his desire is to stay in the team.
“I feel comfortable in Miami. I feel great. We have a young team. I really got connected with the young guys, and I feel young, too, with them, and I would like to stay here,” he said to Sun Sentinel.
It’s not the first time this year that he has to deal with rumors that he is looking for an exit out of the Heat. Still, he has realized that how he can shut them. “It’s kind of bothering me, but I understand this is part of the business,” he said. “So that’s why I’m calm, because I know how I can silence those rumors.”
The Slovenian guard averages 19.3 points, 6.6 assists and 4 rebounds per game so far in the season and believes that soon the Heat will be have receive some extra strength in their roster to back his efforts.
“That’s why I signed with this team. If I didn’t think like that, I would never have signed. I understand it’s part of the business, but I have great confidence in this organization, in Pat, in Micky, in all of those guys, because the history speaks for itself.”
