Maccabi Tel Aviv got the win in the first game of coach Ainar Bagatskis. With him on the bench the team got the 93-84 win over Maccabi Rishon with Sylvain Landesberg scoring 21 points.
Colton Iverson also had 20 points, as Maccabi Tel Aviv has now a 10-2 record and the top spot of the Israeli Winner League. Hapoel Holon is currently in ths second place of the standings with a 8-3 record and coach Bagatskis’ team already has safe distance in its domestic league.
Things are different in Euroleague where Maccabi Tel Aviv had currently a 5-9 record and needs to step up in order to get back in the playoffs race.
