Marc Gasol and Enes Kanter were the top performers for Memphis Grizzlies and the Oklahoma Thunder in last night’s game and in the end it was the Spaniard who celebrated victory.
The Grizzlies‘ big guy dropped 25 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and blocked the ball five times while his team crushed its opponents 114 – 80. Kanter’s 19 points and 5 rebounds didn’t do much good for the offensively struggling (25/74 shots) Thunder.
Nicolas Batum’s near triple-double performance of 16 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists paced the Charlotte Hornets to victory a 91 – 82 over the Miami Heat. With Goran Dragic having problems connecting to the basket (2/11 shots plus 8 assists) the Heat fell to a 10 – 23 record.
Quite solid game by the European delegation of Ersan Ilyasova (16 points, 12 rebounds) and Dario Saric (14 points, 4 rebounds) yet not enough for the Philadelphia 76ers that fell short vs the Utah Jazz, after a destructive 9 – 30 fourth quarter. Rudy Gobert dominated the boards for the Jazz with 13 rebounds and had 9 points, making up for his….. 3/11 from the line. Plus, he threw a nasty posterization hammer.
Jonas Jerebko posted season-highs in both points and rebounds with 12 and 7 respectively but the Boston Celtics were downed by the firepower of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
