It was a close call but Maccabi Tel Aviv managed to prevail by two points (75-73) over Ironi Nes Ziona and get to the Israeli State cup semifinals. Andrew Goudelock and Colton Iverson with 14 points each were the top scorers of the winners.
Gal Mekel added 12 crucial points, however it was Goudelock the one who sealed the outcome of the game with a shot that gave a 75-70 lead to Maccabi Tel Aviv. Billy Mac had 18 points and 14 rebounds for the losing side.
Hapoel Jerusalem is also in the semifinal of the same tournament after beating Bnei Herzliya 68-56 with Amare Stoudemair contributing 10 points and 13 rebounds.
