Thanasis Antetokounmpo spoke on ACB’s official website about his journey with Andorra this season, while brother Giannis also comments on the Spanish team and his brother’s evolution!
Thanasis admits that in Andorra, they have a “good mentality” and that “being unbeaten at home” is a huge motive. “We improve every day and play as hard as we can on the court, so we will give everything we have.”
The Greek forward finds that the ACB league is “incredible, because all teams can win any other. It’s the closest thing to the NBA on how to run and score.”
His younger brother, Giannis, supports him from the United States and is his biggest fan. “I follow the ACB, it’s a very competitive league,” says the Milwaukee Bucks stat. “I always see matches, statistics and rankings, and I’m looking forward to what’s next for MoraBanc Andorra, so I hope they play the Cup because it’s very important for the team.”
On Thanasis, he says that “he is doing well in the 15 or 20 minutes per game he is playing. He is helping the team both scoring and creating and rebounding, and gives them a lot of energy, which is something they need.”
As for the team, “I think the MoraBanc is playing well with a team basketball. What they are doing is incredible, they have not lost yet at home.
