The Euroleague clubs traveling distances

The new EuroLeague format means also a lot of travels all around Europe and Israeli portal Walla calculated the traveling distance for each club during the season (photo).

It’s not a surprise that Unics Kazan once more is the team that has to travel more than any other, however things are quite better for CSKA Moscow – considering the fact that the team also has its own airplane, like Fenerbahce, Real Madrid, Βarcelona and Brose Bamberg which always uses charter flights – and much, much better for Crvena Zvezda, Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, Fenerbahce, Anadolu Efes, Galatasaray and Darussafaka Dogus. The proximity of the destinations between those seven teams makes traveling easier for them.

The Istanbul teams have also an added bonus. During the five weeks which include two Euroleague games, Darussafaka Dogus, Anadolu Efes and Galatasaray don’t have to leave town in three of the five occasions, while Fenerbahce has to face only Istanbul based clubs on two of the five weeks.
