With a beautiful offensive game and accurate shooting, Valencia began its Eurocup Top 16 obligations in an ideal manner, beating Cedevita 89 – 86 on the road.
Led by Bojan Dubljevic (17 points, 4 rebounds), Pierre Oriola (15 points) and Antoine Diot (5 points, 11 assists) the “Bats” produced well-balanced attacks which resulted to lots of perimeter points (13/26 from downtown) and 27 assists in total. Quite the number.
A fantastic Ryan Boatright’s dropped a 37 points season-high and dished out 11 assists but it wasn’t enough for Cedevita since most of its problems emerged from (lack of) defense. Still, they had ample opportunities to win the game, since with the score 86 – 89 Boatright missed a three-point shot and Begic received a block by San Emeterio.
