In the big derby of Day 14 in the Turkish league, Anadolu Efes prevailed 80-77 over Galatasaray. The home team improved its record in the standings to 12-2, while at the same forcing the visiting team to 8-6.
Brandon Paul and Thomas Heurtel led Perasovic’s team with 16 points each, while Cedi Osman had 12.
Tibor Pleiss was the first scorer for Galatasaray with 20 points, Sinan Guler added 15, Bruno Fitipaldo had 14 and Vladimir Micov contributed 11.
Galatasaray was in the leading position in the first half, with Efes’ Brown’s 9 points being the highlight for the host team. The visitors were up 28–40 at halftime, yet Efes managed to significantly cover the deficit in the third period and even took the lead after 30 minutes, 56–54.
Early in the final period, the game entered a ties phase, with Efes eventually managing to win the game.
