Thanasis Antetokounmpo of Andorra spoke about his brother Giannis, he relations with Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis of the New York Knicks and the ACB League, on the Spanish newspaper As.
“We played together in the Preolympic tournament with the Greek national team. We’re like the Gasol brothers!” said the Greek forward about his brother and Milwaukee Bucks star, Giannis. “He signed a big contract with the Bucks which he deserves. As you can tell, he keeps on improving as a player. I don’t know if he will be the next Magic Johnson, only God knows. The only certain thing is that he fights every day in order to reach his goal.”
When asked about his ex teammates Kristaps Porzingis and Carmelo Anthony, the player said the following:
“Porzingis came to Greece in a summer league we organized. He’s got big talent and is an excellent person. We have the same sense of humor and a lot of things that connect us.”
As for Melo, “he’s incredible and never stopped helping me out. He’s also a huge fan of my country, Greece.”
Andorra is looking to participate in the Copa Del Rey and holds an 8-7 record so far. Here’s how Antetokounmpo comments on the Spanish leeague: “It’s one of the best leagues in the world.
