Anadolu Efes Istanbul bolstered its frontcourt by inking center Alex Kirk for the remainder of the season, the club announced Monday.
Kirk (2.11 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Guangzhou Securities, where he averaged 17.7 points and 10.1 rebounds in 7 Chinese League games this season. He started his professional career with Cleveland of the NBA and also played for Canton of the D-League and Giorgio Tesi Group Pistoia of Italy before joining Guangzhou. Kirk replaces Alen Omic, who was sent on loan to 7DAYS EuroCup powerhouse Unicaja Malaga. He is set to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with Efes this season.
