Denver held off a furious rally by the Los Angeles Lakers for a 127-121 victory that marked their third straight with center Nikola Jokic, who had 29 points and 15 rebounds, being once again their leader. The Serb is emerging as a focal point of the team, while Italian Danilo Gallinari added 14 points, Bosnian Jusuf Nurkic had 3 points and Spaniard Juacho Hernangomez had 1 rebounds.
For the Lakers, who played without injured Luol Deng, Croatian rookie Ivica Zubac put together his first double-double, scoring 11 points and pulling down a team-high 13 rebounds. He also had three blocked shots. Russian big man Timofey Mozgov added 4 points and Spaniard Jose Calderon 2 assists.
