A stunning near-triple double performance by Peyton Siva propelled Alba Berlin to its first EuroCup Top 16 victory. The “Albatrosses” beat Cedevita 93 – 76 for the third Round in Group H, leaving the Croatians at a 0 – 3 record.
Siva was the ultimate protagonist for Alba, with 16 points, 10 assists, 7 rebounds and 5 steals and season-high 35 in PIR. Elmedin Kikanovic also provided valuable helps, particularly in the second half when he scored 11 out of his 19 points.
Luka Babic had 22 points plus 5 rebounds and Ryan Boatright banked 15 for Cedevita. Even though coach Mrsic’s players got off to a fine 17 – 24 start, they lacked consistency for the remainder of the game particularly on defense.
Alba first reached the break with a 42 – 38 lead and despite a counterattack by its opponents in the third period it grabbed and established a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter which preserved until the end.
