Partizan Belgrade is about to drop a “transfer bomb” with the upcoming addition of former captain of the Serbian national team, NBA-er and All-Euroleague selection Nenad Krstic.
As Serbian website Novosti.rs reports, even though Krstic will immediately sign a contract with his new team due to a transfer deadline on January 20, his re-appearance on courts will be postponed a bit.
This is a sort of a “homecoming” for the 33-year-old center who made his first professional basketball steps with Partizan, playing there from 2000 to 2004, right before joining the New Jersey (back then) Nets.
While the quality of the experienced big guy is indisputable, he’s lacking action after parting ways with Galatasaray in the beginning of the season and needs to regain his form form in order to help Partizan in its efforts in both the ABA and FIBA Champions League.
There’s no doubt that if Krstic gets back to shape then Partizan will receive a great boost in its frontline.
