Enisey Krasnoyarsk got a key home win over Unics Kazan (75-66) in a game in which the hosts were leading from wire to wire.
Despite Frank Elegar’s absence, Enisey ran its offense through the paint in the 1st quarter, getting a quick 19-9 lead which was kept until the end. Unics trailed by as much as 17 in the game and Keith Langford–who fouled out midway through the 4th quarter—wasn’t able to spark a winning comeback.
With the victory, Enisey (6-9) gets a two-wins advantage over Avtodor (4-9) and Nizhny Novgorod (4-9) for the final playoff spot. Unics, meanwhile, has now lost three games in a row to drop to 5th in the standings (10-4).
Vladislav Trushkin with 17 points and 5 rebounds and Suleiman Braimoh with 13 points and 8 rebounds were the leaders of the winners, while, Keith Langford scored 15 points and Konstas Kaimakoglou had 14 and 8 rebounds.
