Luol Deng is the newest addition to the long list of NBA players that have criticized Donald Trump’s executive order on immigrants and refugees that bans people from certain Muslim countries from entering USA.
A refugee himself, since his family was forced to move from his birthplace in Sudan to Egypt due to war when he was young, Deng tweeted a message in light of Trump’s executive order. The L.A. Lakers player expressed his solidarity towards refugees, stating that he “stands by by all refugees and migrants of all religions, just as a I stand by the policies that have historically welcomed them.”
