Montakit Fuenlabrada beat UCAM Murcia at home 85-69 and practically ended the latter’s dreams of advancing to the quarterfinals. This was the visitors’ 4th loss in the Top 16, while Fuenlabrada can still hope to make it to the next phase with a win at Gran Canaria next week.
Pako Cruz led the winners with 16 points and 4 rebounds, while Marko Popovic added 13 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.
The hosts were able to reach the win with an outbreak in the third quarter, which put them ahead 62-59 after 30 minutes. Rafael Hettsheimeir made it an 11-point game at 34′, 70-59 and Murcia couldn’t attempt a comeback to the game, despite Nemanja Radovic’s 26-point performance.
