Is there an open 3X3 basketball court which in the future could host even the finals of the FIBA 3X3 world championship named after Vassilis Spanoulis outside the Greek borders? The answer is yes!
At the end of June during the celebrations for the “Beobasket Stars” games, organized by the agency of the same name, the “Vassilis Spanoulis court” will be unveiled in honor of the Greek guard. There will be an inauguration ceremony and the player himself will travel to Serbia in order to be present. It will be the rebirth of an open court well known to the Belgrade basketball community and it will be available for everyone after the end of June.
Belgrade authorities have given the permission for the project which will include a cafeteria and also a special logo. To put it simple the court will be “dressed” by the figure of the Greek guard. More details are expected to be announced soon.
