A game-winning three from Tyler Stone sent Happy Casa Brindisi to the 93-91 victory versus PAOK on Wednesday evening.

Bobby Brown failed to hit the target from the charity stripe with 12 seconds to go. The eighth lead change of the Basketball Champions League Round 12 contest came on the other side of the court with Stone getting the job done.

The 28-year-old American forward’s long-range effort got him to a team-high 20 points. John Brown posted 17 points for Francesco Vitucci’s team. Adrian Banks poured all of his 14 in the second half.

The visitors controlled the game at the PalaPentassuglia well into the third quarter. Adam Smith got them back in the driver’s seat sinking a shot beyond the arc for the 91-88 lead with 24 seconds left, but the outcome saw Kostas Charalampidis’s team eliminated from the playoffs.

Shannon Shorter’s game-high 26 points at Brindisi went to waste.

The Italian club improved to 5-7 in Group D dropping its opponents to 4-8.
