Besiktas Sompo Sigorta (7-6) secured a playoff ticket in Group D after a 76-69 home win over Neptunas Klaipeda (5-8) which lost all chances to advance.
Shaquielle McKissic logged 23 points and ten rebounds while Toddrick Gotcher had 19 points and 12 boards. Samet Geyik also grabbed 12 boards but was one point away to be Besiktas’ third player with a double-double this game.
Deividas Gailius poured game-high 30 points for Neptunas but couldn’t change the outcome by himself. Zygimantas Janavicius added nine points and six assists.
Besiktas was ahead 17-15 after ten minutes and 38-33 at halftime. Neptunas took over the lead after the break (41-40) but only for a short while as the hosts were up by a six-point margin by the end of the third quarter (53-47).
The Lithuanians managed to tie the game at 56 early in the fourth but once again, Besiktas didn’t let it go any further and took back control (70-63) on their way to victory and to the playoffs.
