It was quite a balanced clash but Filou Oostende stepped up late and got a 75-70 road win against Polski Cukier Torun in Basketball Champions League.
This win puts Oostende at the third spot in Group A with 8-6 while Torun finishes the season with a 2-12 record at the bottom.
MiKyle McIntosh logged a double-double for the victors with 14 points and ten boards while Keye van der Vuurst de Vries helped with 13 points.
On the other side, Keith Hornsby with 21 and Damian Kulig with 20 points couldn’t change the outcome.
Torun had a slightly better start leading 26-22 after the first quarter but Oostende was ahead 41-39 at halftime. The sides stayed close and the game was tied at 68 with 90 seconds left but the Belgian squad put on a 7-0 run which propelled them to victory.
