Spain lost against Poland in the 2021 Eurobasket qualifiers today (23/2) but that wasn’t the only bad news as Santi Yusta had to exit the game with an injury.
The Spanish Federation announced that the player has been diagnosed with an ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) tear in his left knee and will be undergoing further medical tests in the following hours.
Yusta’s injury will also be a problem for Iberostar Tenerife which is set to face Filou Oostende in the Basketball Champions League playoffs on March 4.
The 22-year-old spent 15 minutes on the floor against Poland logging six points, two boards and two assists. He has been averaging 9.2 points, 2.7 boards and one assist for Tenerife throughout the season.
