JDA Dijon announced on Monday that Abdoulaye Loum inked a new contract to extend his run with the team.
“I am very happy to stay at Dijon,” said the 29-year-old French forward, “I have been feeling good all these years and blossomed thanks to JDA.”
The 2019-20 season, his third at Dijon, saw him post 4.7 points, and 3.6 rebounds per Basketball Champions League appearance. His side remains in the competition engaged into a best-of-three series with Nizhny Novgorod at the time the campaign was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“He joined our team three years ago and has progressed from year to year,” noted head coach, Laurent Legnam, “I hope he will continue progressing next season.”
Loum emerged into a significant player right from the start of his stint with his current team. Coming off the 2016-17 Jeep Elite Pro A championship run with Elan Chalon effectively took on the new challenge and is now set for his fourth straight season with Dijon.
Also announced on Monday, Jeremy Leloup left Dijon to sign a two-year contract with Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez.
