Rytas Vilnius announced that the club has parted ways with coach Dainius Adomaitis as it won’t be able to secure the financial needs to keep him.
“We had two options – to keep the coach and exceed the planned budget for next season, or to start looking for the next most suitable long-term option for the capital’s club. The situation is clear, so it makes no sense for both sides to waste time until July 1. We do not want the start of next season’s assembly work to limit the choices of Rytas and the coach, so we made a quick but necessary decision. We wish the coach the greatest success in his next career stop,” the team’s general director Rolandas Jarutis said.
He also thanked the coach and the coach thanked everybody as well: “I want to thank everyone who was together for two years in Vilnius. I am glad that for two seasons I managed to achieve all the goals set by the club. Thank you for your support and success to Rytas to honorably represent the name of Vilnius in Lithuania and Europe next season,” Adomaitis said.
