AEK inked Matt Lojeski to a one-year contract, the Greek club confirmed on Monday. Eurohoops previously reported on the deal between the two parties.
Per AEK: “AEK BC announces the signing of Matt Lojeski. The American – Belgian guard signed today (27/07) a one-year contract with the ”Queen”.”
Returning to Greece following his four-year stint with Olympiacos and the two-year run with Panathinaikos OPAP marks his Basketball Champions League debut. The veteran of 143 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games between the two above Greek clubs is coming off a 7DAYS EuroCup campaign with Tofas Bursa.
The coronavirus pandemic shortened both his 2019-20 season featuring EuroCup and BSL. Before the decision to cancel the bottom end of the campaigns, he posted 10.6 points, 2.6 assists, and 2.5 rebounds per EuroCup contest, and 9.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game at the domestic level.
