Saulius Kulvietis inked a two-year deal to return to Rytas Vilnius, the Lithuanian team announced on Monday.
“I am glad that after a ten-year break I will return to Vilnius to play this time for the strongest team of the capital,” he mentioned, “Rytas always sets high goals. I really hope to contribute to achieving great victories.”
Kulvietis, 29, coming out of Rytas’ youth academy went on to play with various LKL teams up to 2016-17 and his move to Spain for Joventut Badalona. He returned to his native country in 2018-19 as a member of Lietkabelis and joined JDA Dijon for the 2019-20 season.
Rytas being set for the Basketball Champions League is his fourth different BCL side since participating in the 2017-18 qualifiers with Badalona. He returned to FIBA’s premier club competition gaining regular season experience with Lietkabelis and Dijon.
With the French club, Kulvietis threw in 7.3 points and 2.5 rebounds per match over eight Champions League appearances. In addition, he posted 5.3 points per Jeep Elite Pro A contest.
