VEF Riga brought Kristers Zoriks back to Latvia ahead of the 2020-21 season, the Basketball Champions League outlet announced on Tuesday.
“It is a great pleasure for me to return to my homeland and join the best basketball club in Latvia, for me,” the latest VEF addition said, “I am very hungry for basketball. I can’t wait for the training camp to begin, the Basketball Champions League and the Latvian-Estonian Basketball League as well.”
The 22-year-old guard is coming in from the NCAA. Last season, shortened by the coronavirus pandemic, he averaged 3.7 points and 11.8 minutes per game for Saint Mary’s.
Apart from the Latvia junior international teams regular, previous summer additions for VEF include Aigars Skele and Kyle Allman Jr.
