Rytas Vilnius signed former NBA guard Demetrius Jackson to a one-year deal. Jackson will play in Europe for the first time in his career and will be making his debut in the Basketball Champions League, apart from the Lithuanian LKL League.

Per Rytas:

Rytas Vilnius strengthened their roster with a point guard who played in the NBA league for 3 seasons. 25-year-old Demetrius Jackson joins the capital’s club and has signed a one-year deal.

In the 2016 NBA draft, D. Jackson was drafted with the 45th overall pick by Boston Celtics. The next two seasons he played for Houston Rockets and Philadelphia 76ers.

“He is an NBA player and a great team player. I am sure that Demetrius will perfectly fit into our style of play and will surprise the fans with many beautiful episodes in the upcoming season,” said Rytas head coach Donaldas Kairys.

In his junior year at Notre Dame University, D.Jackson averaged 15.8 points, 4.7 assists and 3.5 rebounds.
