AEK Athens added Tyrese Rice, the Greek team announced on Monday.
The latest incoming player for head coach Ilias Papatheodorou was first reported by sportime.gr noting that the agreement brings in the 33-year-old guard for the Basketball Champions League Final 8 phase that will complete the 2019-20 season and could be extended for the rest of the season.
The player confirmed via a post on Twitter that he will join the Queen to play in the three games of the single-site BCL tournament. AEK subsequently officially welcomed him to the team.
The 2019 BCL MVP with Brose Bamberg spent the 2019-20 season with Panathinaikos and posted an average of 10 points, 2.8 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 17 minutes across 28 games.
