Alex Renfroe was the special guest, representing San Pablos Burgos in the Basketball Champ0ions League Final Eight countdown show and he didn’t hide the ambitions of himself and his team.
Speaking about the decision to move to Spain, he explained that the country and also coach Joan Peñarroya were his motivation to sign with the team: “I love playing in Spain, my family feels good here and the coach was a major thing for me. I like everything he does, I like the way he approaches the game. He is very direct and that’s very important for me”.
And that extends also to the ambitions of the team, which can turn a lot of heads in the upcoming Athens Final Eight.
“We have a deep roster, we can do a lot of things, we have a lot of experience, but we have to perform daily. However, I feel that we can be very special. The potential is that, but we have to show that”.
