The Basketball Champions League announced individual awards in front fo the Final Eight, naming the First and Second Star Lineup, the Best Young Player, and the Coach of the Season.
All that’s left is to crown the champions and named the MVP which will be done on Friday, October 2nd.
Per Basketball Champions League:
On the eve of the Basketball Champions League Final 8 debut in Athens, Greece, a couple of season prizes were awarded.
Besides the MVP of the Season that will be announced on Friday, the Best Young Player, the Coach of the Season, the Star Lineup and the Star Lineup Second Team awards were announced today, before the start of the pinnacle event of the 2019-2020 Basketball Champions League season.
The Star Lineup was chosen according to a public vote which was equally distributed: 1/3 of the votes from the fans, 1/3 of the votes from media representatives, and 1/3 of the votes from the coaches of the 32 participating teams.
The following awards were announced:
Best Young Player: Carlos Alocen (Casademont Zaragoza)
Coach of the Season: Oren Amiel (ERA Nymburk)
Star Lineup: Marcelinho Huertas (Iberostar Tenerife), Keith Langford (AEK), Vojtech Hruban (ERA Nymburk), TaShawn Thomas (Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem) and Giorgi Shermadini (Iberostar Tenerife)
In addition, the Star Lineup Second Team has been also announced, and is formed by Dylan Ennis (Casademont Zaragoza), Vitor Benite (Hereda San Pablo Burgos), Kyle Wiltjer (Türk Telekom), Dyshawn Pierre (Dinamo Sassari), and Moustapha Fall (Türk Telekom).
