ATHENS – While AEK had the MVP of the season at its side in the Final, it didn’t matter as San Pablo Burgos bounced back from the early deficit to claim the 2019-20 Basketball Champions League title.
Thaddus McFadden was the hero of the night with 18 points on 7-11 shooting including 3-6 from deep while grabbing six rebounds and dishing five assists. He was pushing Burgos throughout the whole tournament and he was named the Final Eight MVP for it.
The 33-year-old guard was averaging 10.7 points throughout the season with two 18-point games coming in the Final Eight as he helped Burgos reach the top.
