Fortitudo Bologna returned to a Euro competition after more than a decade, however, its debut in the Basketball Champions League Group F went sideways as Brose Bamberg dominated with 100-63 on the scoreboard.
Brose won all four quarters, was up by 20 at halftime (51-31) and never slowed down until the very end. The Germans were on fire from deep wth 13-25 and led by as much as 39 points (96-57).
Four players logged 24+ PIRs for Bamberg as they pushed the squad to victory. Tyler Larson scored 23 points followed by Dominic Lockhart with 19, Michele Vitali with 17 and Chase Fieler with 16 points.
For Bologna, Stefano Mancinelli scored 17 in addition to Adrian Banks’ 14 and Mattia Palumbo’s ten points.
