Grant Jerrett and Andrew Andrews combined for 47 points pushing Darussafaka Tekfen over Filou Oostende, 79-74, Wednesday.
The former Arizona standout produced a game-high 27 points, Andrews threw in 20 more and Dogus Ozdemiroglu punched in 17. The rest of Selcuk Ernak’s players rolled in 15 points.
The hosts opened a 15-point lead early in the Basketball Champions League Regular Season Group H contest. They survived a comeback bid before securing the home victory and jumping to 1-0.
Jean-Marc Mwema led the charge for Oostende but his 20 points fell short of the upset in Turkey. Thomas Welsh fired in 16 points of his own and pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.
