AEK and Hapoel Holon put on a high-scoring offensive show in Greece as the hosts came out with a close 100-96 win in Group C of the Basketball Champions League.
It was 95-94 with under a minute left when Keith Langford swished a dagger shot from deep and Nikos Zizis followed with two free throws to push AEK to 100-94 and secure the win.
Langford may be 37 years old but he’s far from done. The American guard banked game-high 30 points on 12-18 from the field including 3-6 from deep. He also dished three assists and grabbed three rebounds.
Yanick Moreira followed with 18 points while missing only one shot and dishing ten assists for a double-double. Nikos Gkikas added 15 points and nine assists.
For Holon, C.J. Harris scored 27 in addition to Guy Pnini and Chris Johnson’s 14 points each.
