C.J. Harris scored 25 points on 8-11 shots to lead Hapoel Holon to its first win of the Basketball Champions League 2020-21 season. The Israeli side led from start to finish and prevailed over Cholet 73 – 63 at home thanks to Harris and a strong defensive effort, especially in the second half and in the last minutes of the game.
With the score 63 – 59, Holon made a decisive 8 – 0 run to enter crunch time with a double-digit lead. It was too late for Cholet to react and the visiting side fell to 0-2.
Gerry Blakes (19 points, six rebounds) and Lasan Kromah (13 points) scored in double figures for Cholet. Apart from Harris, Isaiah Miles pitched in 17 points to Holon’s victory while Chris Johnson finished with 12 points and five rebounds.
