AEK Athens used an efficient fourth-quarter offensive effort to overcome Tsmoki-Minsk with a 95-69 win to register its second victory into the new Basketball Champions League in respective games.
After a 22-16 start by the visitors, AEK bounced back before halftime to regain its ground and never looked back in the game. The host team had multiple players scoring in double digits, with Matt Lojeski leading the way with 16 points. Yanick Moreira and Keith Langford had 14 and 13 points each and Jonas Maciulis posted 11 points and 6 rebounds.
The Minsk side remained competitive for three quarters, though their defense started to give away in the fourth, allowing AEK to call the shots entirely with a 26-10 run. Maksim Salash paced the efforts of Tsmoki with 16 points, 6 rebounds, Rob Lowery had 15 points on 5 assists, as Kris Clyburn and Andrei Rahozenka tapped 11 points apiece.
