TaShawn Thomas’ efforts paid off as Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem registered its first victory of the new Basketball Champions League season over Limoges CSP by 81-75.
Thomas registered a team-high performance of 24 points and four rebounds to pace the Israeli team to victory after a tough loss to Turk Telekom in the season opener and bounce back in Group G. Chris Kramer had 15 points for the winning side and Tamir Black recorded a team-high with 11 assists on six points.
Limoges entered the game with a 28-15 lead in the first quarter and fought back until the third, before Hapoel took complete charge in the fourth quarter with their own 22-9 run.
Phil Scrubb’s 26-point performance wasn’t enough to save the day for the French side that fell to a 1-1 record. Hugo Invernizzi and Jerry Boutsiele tapped 12 points apiece for Limoges.
