Galatasaray has been going through a rough patch and the losses continue piling on, this time Iberostar Tenerife was the team to hand it with 85-72 on the scoreboard.
Tenerife logged its second win (2-1) in Basketball Champions League Group A while Galatasaray remained at the lone win (1-2) they got last week against the Bakken Bears (0-2).
Sasu Salin scored 21 points for the victors on 5-10 from deep while Budno Fitipaldo had 12 points as well as eight assists. Tyler Cavanaugh scored 16 points.
On the other side, Daryl Macon banked in 23 points followed by RJ Hunter who showcased pinpoint accuracy with 7-7 from the field including 5-5 from the three-point territory.
Tenerife was under control from the very start and they quickly went ahead in double-digits, leading 45-25 already at halftime.
Galatasaray managed to spark a slight comeback at the start of the fourth quarter and cut the gap to seven points (69-62), however, the Spaniards didn’t allow any surprises. They responded with eight straight points to remove any doubt about the outcome.
