In a mission to avoid an 0-2 start to the Basketball Champions League season, Hereda San Pablo Burgos succeeded in taking down Happy Casa Brindisi, 93-71, Wednesday.
Thad McFadden pumped his side with 21 points behind 7/15 field goals. Ken Horton registered 16 points in the delayed Regular Season Gameday 2 contest held at the Coliseum Burgos. Alex Renfroe ended up with 13 points plus eight assists.
The team coached by Joan Penarroya blew the game open in the second quarter and contained the Italian outlet to improve to 1-1 in Group H.
D’Angelo Harrison made all of his 15 free throw attempts, but his game-high 23 points did not prevent the drop to 1-1.
