Turk Telekom’s worst fear became a reality as Tyler Ennis has suffered a torn Achilles and is done for the season, the club announced.
Ennis got injured today (November 21) in the Turkish League game against Galatasaray. He was taken off the court on a stretcher and his team – visibly shaken – went on to lose the game despite a valiant comeback effort.
The 26-year-old guard joined Turk Telekom this year in front of the Basketball Champions League Final Eight and stayed for another season.
Back in October 2018, while playing for Fenerbahce, he also suffered a season-ending injury, in that case – a broken ankle.
Ennis played for the Suns, Bucks, Rockets and Lakers before moving to Europe. This season, he averaged 13.6 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.4 rebounds over ten games split between the Turkish League and the Basketball Champions League.
