After parting ways with Meo Sacchetti, Fortitudo Bologna has given the head coaching responsibility to Luca Dalmonte.
The 57-year-old expert returns to Fortitudo Bologna after a four-year stint with the club from 1993 until 1997 when he worked as an assistant.
Dalmonte has been working in Italy throughout his whole career except for a short time with Fenerbahce back in the 2012-2103 season. Most recently, he was at the help of Verona (2016-19) in the Italian Second Division. He was also a part of the Italian national team coaching staff for six years (2010-16).
He takes over Fortitudo Bologna after a tough start to the season. They are at the bottom of the Italian League standings with a 1-8 record while they’ve also lost the first game in the Basketball Champions League.
