Happy Casa Brindisi has been having an amazing run early on this season as they’ve lost only two games so far in all competitions (out of 13) and their latest victory, with 92-80 on the scoreboard, came against Filou Oostende in the Basketball Champions League.
Brindisi improved to 2-1 in Group H, the same record as the reigning champions San Pablo Burgos, while Oostende stayed at 1-2.
D’Angelo Harrison scored 21 points for Brindisi while Derek Willis added 17 along with eight rebounds. Nick Perkins helped with 13 points.
For the hosts, Loic Schwartz logged 16 in addition to Jean-Marc Mwema’s 11 and Simon Buysse’s ten points.
The Italian team established control result-wise from the very start and were up in double-digits at the end of the first quarter (28-12) as well as by 22 points (58-36) at halftime. They kept the distance after the break and although Oostende managed to cut the gap significantly (81-72) in the fourth quarter, it was dar too late to change the outcome.
