Hapoel Jerusalem signed forward Jamil Wilson for the rest of 2020-21, the Israeli Basketball Champions League club announced. Wilson had begun the season in Italy with Virtus Roma until he left after the team’s withdrawal from Serie A.
In nine games with Roma in the Italian League, Wilson averaged 11.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists. The American player had spent 2019-2020 with Unics Kazan after his debut EuroCup run with Turin in 2018-2019.
“It’s no secret that we have been looking for an inside player for quite some time and I’m happy that we were able to get our hands on a quality and experience player like Jamil,” Hapoel Jerusalem coach Oded Kattash said.
Wilson will be playing in the Basketball Champions League and the Israeli League for the first time in his career.
