Things could have gotten much more complicated in Basketball Champions League Group H but Hereda San Pablo Burgos managed to hold off Darussafaka Tekfen for a 74-71 road win.
With this win, Burgos gained some separation with a 3-1 record while Darussafaka fell to 1-3 and will have a hard time trying to advance.
Ken Horton scored 20 for the victors followed by Alex Renfroe with 16 and Thaddus McFadden with 11 points. The three of them banked in 13 of 14 threes made by Burgos and that includes the crucial one at the buzzer by McFadden with a minute remaining.

For Darussafaka, Dogus Özdemiroglu scored 16 and Andrew Andrews 13 with Josh Magette adding 11.
Burgos had to fight its way back from being down 15-3 early on but they were fast to respond. The Spaniards were up 40-36 at halftime and while neither team could gain a significant advantage and the lead switched sides numerous times, McFadden’s great shot tipped the scales.
