Troubles continue for Rytas Vilnius as they suffer another defeat, this time at the hands of VEF Riga which downed them 84-60 and improved to a 3-1 record.
Rytas is left at 1-3 in Group E and without a tiebreaker advantage, so their only hope will be to steal a spot from Strasbourg which has a 3-1 record but lost the first game against Rytas.
Kyle Allman logged 23 points for the victors along with nine rebounds while Michale Kyser had 16 and 11. Kristers Zoriks scored 20 points.
On the other side, Martynas Echodas had 17 in addition to Andrew Goudelock’s 13 points.
Riga was in control from the get-go. They were up 22-11 after the first quarter and 44-29 at halftime. They kept the momentum going after the break and were up by as much as 30 points (76-46) early in the fourth quarter.
