Fortitudo Bologna’s struggles continue as they stay winless in the Basketball Champions League in their debut season. This time around, RETAbet Bilbao was the team to beat them with 82-54 on the scoreboard.
Jaylon Brown scored 17 for the victors followed by Arnoldas Kulboka and Goran Huskic with 11 points each. For the losing side, Leonardo Tote had 14 and Adrian Banks 13 points.
Fortitudo was holding up for the first ten minutes (19-18) but that was all. Bilbao went up 41-28 by halftime and 63-39 in the third quarter at which point the game was basically over for Fortitudo.
Bilbao improved to 2-2 and has swept Fortitudo for the potential tiebreaker while the Italians lost all three games and are left with slim chances to advance to the playoffs.
Brose already qualifies in Group F and that leaves Karsiyaka as Bilbao’s main rival for the ticket.
